About

I am a senior journalism, political science, and business student at the University of Georgia. Originally from Johns Creek, GA, I currently work for the University of Georgia’s Development and Alumni Relations Communications department as a writing intern. I love the opportunity to tell stories that create opportunities for students and uplift our university community.

I am also a publishing intern at the Bitter Southerner, an Athens-based magazine that seeks to tell stories that make the South, and the world, a better place. In my role, I manage customer service, support the operations of the magazine’s online store, and assist in the implementation of marketing strategies.

I’m a passionate writer and have written for a variety of publications, including culture reporting for the UGA newspaper, the Red and Black. I have also served as a writer and junior editor for Her Campus UGA, an online magazine by and for college women.

In addition to my multimedia and public relations experience, I have applied my storytelling and writing skills to leadership roles on the UGA campus. I served as the public relations director for the Student Government Association, the outreach coordinator for the Episcopal Campus Ministry, and a recruitment committee member for the Arch Society, UGA’s official student hosts and ambassadors.

I have added a business minor to my course of study so I can better understand how to use my communications skills to push an initiative forward, and look forward to opportunities where I can use storytelling and communications to make a positive impact on the people in my community and around the world.
